My Role: Greensky Concept Artist.
This was my first in-house AAA experience, back in 2017 I was flown in for a couple months to help imagine the future of Gears of War in what they called the "Green Sky" phase, we split off into teams of two and imagined each area of this world. I teamed up with my lead to come up with what would become the opening level of the game. We went for a ton of colour, something you don't often see in Gears, there was a lot of pressure to make this level sell and Xbox One so we wanted to make quite an impression, something which seemed to of worked, seeing steamers faces as they first land in the facility was a treat. I was honoured to have the first concept here be the opening page of the official artbook for Gears 5. Thank you so much Coalition!
