Dead or Alive is a popular Japanese fighting game franchise known for it's beautiful visuals and flowing choreography. I had the wonderful opportunity of being a guest costume designer for one of the characters. I did a number of concepts for different characters and the one we went with was my "Dark kunoichi" costume for Ayane. I was overjoyed, as Ayane is one of the main characters of the Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden franchises and a personal favourite of mine. The outfit they chose became one of the most downloaded outfits of the game and was featured as the cover image for the DLC. The outfit became so popular that players modded it back into DOA6 and you can even see it's DNA in the internally designed Halloween costumes for DOA6.
